What happens to your files

When you upload a PDF, it travels over an encrypted TLS connection and is processed on our servers — that is what makes merging, cropping, and redaction work. Every file is deleted automatically 2 hours after upload. If you don't want to wait, press Delete now in the editor and your files are removed immediately.

Your files are never shared or sold

Your documents are yours. We do not share them with third parties, sell them, or use them for anything other than the edits you asked for.

No AI training

We never use your files, or anything derived from them, to train AI models. Not ours, not anyone else's.

No account means minimal data

pdfmix has no signup, so we hold no names, email addresses, or usage histories tied to you. An editing session is identified by a random ID that expires along with your files.

Encryption in transit

All traffic between your browser and our servers — uploads, edits, and downloads — is encrypted with TLS.

What our logs contain

Like most websites, we keep technical logs to operate the service and diagnose problems. They never contain the content of your documents. For each editing session we record metadata only: an anonymized IP address (the last part is removed), browser type, file properties such as name, size, and page count, and the sequence of edit steps you performed (for example "rotated 2 pages"). These records are deleted after 90 days at the latest.

Cookies, ads, and analytics

pdfmix is free and may show ads to stay that way. Ad and analytics providers may set cookies, and where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.

Who we are and your rights

pdfmix is operated by Juno Media GmbH in Switzerland, the company behind easy-resize.com. The EU GDPR and the Swiss nFADP apply to how we handle your data. You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you or ask us to delete it — for files, the Delete now button is the fastest way.
